John McShane – Bass
Hailing from West Chester and now Wayne, PA, John McShane started playing bass in college. But as life would have it, he took an extended hiatus from playing until a few years ago. At the encouragement of his son, also a bass player, he found the “Adult Jam” at the Main Line School of Rock. There, he resurrected his bass chops, playing for their band House Arrest. From there he moved to another band – Deck 5 – and then, along with Terry, decided to form Almost There. John enjoys a wide variety of musical styles, from the ‘90s music Almost There plays, to Indie, Alt., Rock, and Pop.: “I can find elements of it all that I enjoy. Whatever music makes you happy, or makes you feel, or makes you think, that’s the best music for you. So if you like it, listen and enjoy!” On top of playing bass and guiding the band, he practices medicine and plays a lot of tennis.
