Max Holzman – Drums
Versatile in a number of drumming styles and techniques, Max Holzman started drumming at age 12 and actively played in a variety of musical groups over the years, including a classic rock cover band, marching band, concert bands, pit bands for musical theater and various jazz bands and ensembles. A native of Lafayette Hill, PA, his musical tastes span decades and genres, including rock of all eras, jazz, and fusion. He cites drummers John Bonham, Chad Smith, Bernard Purdie, and Steve Gadd as some of his greatest musical influences. Max is well-known in the band for his exacting level of precision but also for his artful interpretations of the songs he performs. When not playing drums, Max works at a local large animal veterinary clinic and hopes to enter vet school in the near future. Despite his love of animals, a little known fact about Max is that he is a vegetarian. He also enjoys walking, camping, hiking and backpacking, especially with his dog Lilly, who is often at his side (although not necessarily at gigs).
